Section 40. Revision of electoral rolls

[40- The State Election Commission may, if it thinks it necessary so to do, for the purposes of general or bye-election, direct a revision of the electoral roll for all or any of the wards in such manner as it may think fit : Provided that subject to the other provisions of this Act, the electoral roll for the ward as enforce at the time of issue of any such direction, shall continue to be in force until the completion of revision so directed.]2
