Section 72. Procedure before Tribunals

This Act was repealed on 1 January 1996 by the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995), s.112(3); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
72. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and any rules that may be made in this behalf, a Tribunal shall follow the same procedure as is provided in the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, in regard to suits. (2) The provisions of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, shall be deemed to apply in all respects to the adjudication of disputes by a Tribunal.
