Section 83. Recovery of dues by distress

This Act was repealed on 1 January 1996 by the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995), s.112(3); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
83. The contribution payable under section 34 and every sum recoverable under this Act may be recovered by the Board by means of distress and sale of movable or immovable-property belonging to the person liable for payment, or by the appointment of a receiver of waqfs property in accordance with rules framed by the State Government in this behalf.
