Section 10. Restriction on business of money lending

10- (1) No person shall carry on the business of money-lending, unless he holds a valid certificate of registration : Provided that a person referred to in the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 7 may, subject to other provisions of this Act, continue to carry on such business for the period mentioned in that proviso and thereafter until his application for registration is refused. (2) Every registered money-lender shall display his certificate of registration in such manner as may be prescribed.
