This Act was repealed on 15 December 1979 by the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna (Repealing) Act, 1979 (West Bengal Act XXX of 1979), s.3; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Bhudan Yagna Act, 1962. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. (3) It shall apply to such area or areas with effect from such date or dates as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify in this behalf and different dates may be specified in respect of different areas.
