Section 3. The University.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Burdwan University Act, 1981 (West Bengal Act XXIII of 1981), s.57(9); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
3. (1) The first members of the University referred to in sub-section (2) of section 8 and all persons who may hereafter become members of the University shall, so long as they continue to be members, constitute a body corporate by the name of the University of Burdwan. (2) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued in the name of the University of Burdwan.
