Section 2. Declaration as to the policy of the State.

This Act was repealed on 1 March 2003 by the West Bengal Thika Tenancy (Acquisition and Regulation) Act, 2001, s.27(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
2. It is hereby declared that this Act is for giving effect to the policy of the State towards securing the principles specified in clauses (b) and (c) of articles 39 of the Constitution of India.
