1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Maritime Board Act, 2000. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. (4) It shall apply to all minor ports in West Bengal with effect from such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different minor ports.
