Section 24. Finance Committee.
The West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950
This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Act, 1963 (5 of 1963), s.46; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
24. (1) The Finance Committee shall consist of the following members— (a) the President, ex-officio; (b) the Director of Public Instruction or a person in the service of the State Government nominated by him, ex-officio; (c) four members of the Board, elected by the Board in the manner prescribed by regulations; and (d) a person who shall be an expert in financial matters appointed by the State Government. (2) The President shall be the Chairman of the Committee. (3) It shall be the duty of the Committee to prepare the budget of the Board and to perform such other functions as the Board may direct.
