Section 8. Effect of recommendations of Commission.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (Repealing) Act, 2017 (West Bengal Act XXIII of 2017); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
8. Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, recruitment to the posts and services, except the post or services falling under sub-section (3) of section 6, shall be made on the recommendation of the Commission.
