Section 9. Staff of the State Council.

This Act was repealed on 29 June 2015 by the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education Act, 2015 (West Bengal Act X of 2015), s.29(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
9. (1) The State Council may appoint officers, other than Secretary, and other employees with the previous approval of the Government from time to time in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. (2) The classification and methods of recruitment, conditions of service, pay and allowance, disciplinary conduct and functions and responsibilities of the officers and other employees referred to in sub-section (1) shall be such as may be prescribed.
