Section 5. Administrative Officer.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the West Bengal Primary Education Act, 1973 (West Bengal Act XLIII of 1973), s.105(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
5. (1) The State Government may appoint a person who is in the service of the State Government as Administrative Officer for the implementation of the provisions of this Act in a Municipality or any part thereof, where primary education has been declared free and compulsory. (2) The Administrative Officer shall exercise such powers, perform such functions and discharge such duties as may be prescribed.
