Section 64. Provisions of Provident Fund
The Chhattisgarh SHOPS and ESTABLISHMENTS ACT, 1958
This Act was repealed on 13 February 2025 by the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Chhattisgarh Act 21 of 2018), s.30(1), in force from 13 February 2025; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
64. Provisions of Provident Fund — Every employer shall, in accordance with the rules made by the Government, provide a provident fund for the benefit of every employee and shall contribute to this fund an amount equal to the amount contributed by the employee not exceeding six and a quarter percent of his wages: Provided that this section shall apply only to such places and such classes of employers as may be notified in this behalf by the Government.
