Article 1564 – Sale between married persons - Married persons may not buy or sell reciprocally among themselves unless judicially separated in respect of persons and assets. § Sole paragraph - A spouse may however assign or gift to the other in payment of any legitimate debt and this shall not be regarded as a prohibited alienation under this article.
