48. Penalty for obstructing exercise of powers under Chapter VI.—Any person who obstructs the lawful exercise of any power conferred by or under Chapter VI 9[shall be liable to a fine, which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees, but may extend to fifty thousand rupees, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed].
