Section 47. Penalty for removing marks etc.

47. Penalty for removing marks etc.— If any person removes any mark set up for the purpose of indicating any level, boundary line or direction necessary to the execution of works authorised under this Act, 8[he shall be liable to a fine, which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees but may extend to fifty thousand rupees, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed].
