This Act was repealed on 1 May 2016 by the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (16 of 2016), s.92; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
45. Penalty for contravention of sections 6, 16 or 17.— Whoever, without reasonable cause, fails to comply with, or contravenes, the provisions of sections 6, 16 or 17 shall, upon the order by the Housing Regulatory Authority in that regard, be liable to pay the penalty of rupees ten thousand for each day during which such non-compliance continues, or rupees fifty lakhs, whichever is lower.
