148. Effect of area being excluded from village.— Where 5[* *] under section 4 any local area forming part of a village is excluded from such village, and such area is not included in or declared to be a village, so much of the village fund and other property vesting in the panchayat of the village of which such area formed part, as the Commissioner may by order in writing direct, shall vest in the Collector to be utilized for the benefit of the area as the Collector may think fit.
