10[184A. Panchayat Samiti to exercise duties in respect of panchayats within its area.— (1) Nothing in this Act shall be construed as empowering a Panchayat Samiti to exercise any powers or perform any functions under this Act in relation to a panchayat area of which is not within its jurisdiction. (2) If any Block comprises only a part of a village for which a panchayat has been established, the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, declare which Panchayat Samiti shall exercise the powers and perform the functions under this Act in respect of such panchayat.]
