5. Constitution of Blocks.— Subject to any alteration of boundaries which may be made in pursuance of the provisions of Chapter XV, the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute in every District such number of Blocks, each consisting of such local area, as may be specified in the notification.
