This Act was repealed on 28 May 2019 by the Mizoram Liquor (Prohibition) Act, 2019 (Act No. 8 of 2019), s.54(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
53. Punishment for obstruction etc.: Whoever obstructs, assaults or threatened to assault or attempts to obstruct or disobeys any personnel of Excise & Narcotics or Police Department in the discharge of his official duties shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of not less than three months which may extend to three years and with fine of not less than two thousand rupees which may extend to five thousand rupees.
