103. Inspection and stamping of weights and measures :– The Executive Officer of a municipality or any person authorised by him in this behalf may examine and test the weights and measures used in markets and shops in the municipality with a view to the prevention and punishment of offences relating to such weights and measures under Chapter XIII of the Indian Penal Code, XLV of 1860.
