Section 29. Mode of appointment of teachers.

This Act was repealed on 2 July 2007 by the Tripura University Act, 2006, s.48(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
29. A University Professor or a University Reader or a University Lecturer shall be appointed by the Syndicate on the basis of the recommendation of a selection committee consisting :- (i) Vice-Chancellor ; (ii) One nominee of the Chancellor ; (iii) Three outside experts in the subject concerned to be invited out of the list approved by the Syndicate ; (iv) The Dean of the Faculty concerned.
