Section 39. Procedure in inquiries and appeals

39. Procedure in inquiries and appeals For the purpose of any enquiry held under clause (b) or sub-section (1) of section 36, the Board or the Committee, as the case may be, shall exercise the powers of a Commissioner appointed under the Public Servants (Inquiries) Act, 1850, and the provisions of sections 5, 8 to 10, 14 to 16, 19 and 20 of the said Act shall, so far as may be, apply to every such inquiry and appeal.
