The U.P. Sugar and Power Alcohol Industries Labour Welfare and Development Fund Act, 1950

2.In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context (a) "Advisory Committee" means Advisory Committee constituted under section 12 ; (b) "Central Government" shall have the meaning assigned to it in the General Clauses Act, 1897 ; (c) "Commissioner" means the Labour Welfare Commissioner appointed under section 13, and includes any officer authorized in writing by the Commissioner to exercise any of his functions under this Act ; (d)"Factory" has the meaning assigned to it in the Factories Act, 1948 ; (e) "Fund" means the U. P. Sugar and Power Alcohol Industries Labour Welfare and Development Fund constituted under section 3 ; (f) "Housing Board" means the Labour Housing Board constituted under section 10 ; (g) "Prescribed" means prescribed under this Act ; and (h)"State Government" means the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
