BHAGWANT GLOBAL UNIVERSITY ACT, 2016

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 12; it may still apply to matters that began before then.

11- (1) The Governor of Uttarakhand will be the Visitor of the University. (2)The Visitor shall, when present, preside at the convocation of the University for conferring degrees and diplomas. (3) The Visitor shall have the following powers namely:- (a) To call for information relating to the affairs of the University; (b) On the basis of the information received by the Visitor, if he is satisfied that any order, proceeding, or decision taken by any authority of the University is not in conformity with the Decision, Act, Regulations, Statutes, or Rules, he may issue such directions as he may deem fit in the interest of the University and the directions so issued shall be complied by all concerned. (c) Every proposal for the conferment of an honorary degree shall be subject to the approval of the Visitor.
