BHAGWANT GLOBAL UNIVERSITY ACT, 2016

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 12; it may still apply to matters that began before then.

23- (1) The Academic Council shall consist of:- (a) the Vice-Chancellor - Chairman; (b) the Registrar -Secretary; (c) such other members as may be prescribed in the Statutes. (2) The Academic Council shall be the Principal Academic Body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, the Rules and the Statutes, co-ordinate and exercise general supervision over the academic policies of the University; (3) The powers and functions of the Academic Council shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
