This Act was repealed on 21 September 2001 by the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Central Act 16 of 2002), s.7(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
30- As soon as the first Vice-Chancellor, the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor and the first Registrar and the first Syndicate have been appointed the University will have been duly constituted. Until such time as the Senate is constituted, the function of the Senate shall be performed by the [State Government]1 . Explanation--- for the purposes of this section the fist Syndicate shall be deemed to have been duly appointed without the four members to be elected by the Senate till such time as the Senate elects them.
