THE UNITED PROVINCES PANCHAYAT RAJ ACT, 1947

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act 11 of 2016), s.194(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.

9-A Except as otherwise provided by or under this Act, every person whose name is for the time being included in the electoral roll for a territorial constitutency [of a gram panchayat]6 shall be entitled to vote at any election and be eligible for election, nomination or appointment to any office in [that Gram Panchayat or the concerned Nyaya Panchayat]7 : Provided that a person who has not completed the age of twenty-one years shall not be qualified to be elected as a member or office bearer of the Gram Panchayat.] 3
