Section 15. The Chancellor

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 2 of 2024), s.72(1) and Schedule-I item 20; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
15. (1) Chairman of Sponsor Trust shall be the first Chancellor of the University, whose tenure shall be of three years. Thereafter Sponsor Trust with the prior concurrence of the Visitor, shall appoint Chancellor from amongst its members. (2) The Chancellor shall have such powers as may be conferred on him by this Act or the Statutes made there under.
