Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Repealing Act, 2023 (Uttarakhand Act 27 of 2023), s.2 and Schedule item 53; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Commission for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 1995. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on August 8, 1994.
