Section 28. prohibition of discharge or, removal from service during or on account of absence from duty owing to confinement

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Uttarakhand Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2018), s.30(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
28. (1) No employer shall discharge or remove from service any woman employee on account of, or during the period of, absence from duty allowed to her under section 25. (2) No woman employee shall, as a result of her discharge or removal from service within six months of the day of her delivery, be deprived of the maternity benefits, which she would have, but for the discharge or removal, been entitled to, if the same is held by the inspector to be without sufficient cause.
