THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

106- (1) Subject to such conditions as may be prescribed a [Corporation]2 may from time to time create one or more of the following posts, as it may consider necessary, in connexion with its affiairs; namely,- (i) Upa Nagar Adhikari; (ii) Sahayak Nagar Adhikari ; [(iii) Mukhya Abhiyanta ;]3 (iv) Nagar Swasthya Adhikari ; (v) Mukhya Nagar Lekha Parikshak ; and (vi) other posts of officers, staff and other servants necessary for the efficient discharge of its functions: Provided that where the State Government orders to the effect that the [Corporation]2 do create a post, it shall be obligatory for the [Corporation]2 to create such post: Provided further that a post created under the firs, proviso shall not be abolished without the sanction of the State Government. (2) The qualifications of persons to be appointed to posts created under sub-section (1) shall be such as may be prescribed by the State Government.
