Section 12. Election of [***]8 Upa Nagar Prarnukh

12- (1) [The [***]8 Upa Nagar Pramukh]4 shall be elected as soon as may be after the election of sabhasad has been completed.]1 (2) [xxx]2 (3) The [[***]8 Upa Nagar Pramukh]4 shall be elected by the members in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote and the voting at such election shall be by secret ballot. (4) If an [***]8 Nagar Pramukh is elected Nagar Pramukh the office of the Upa Nagar Pramukh shall become vacant from the date Upa Nagar Pramukh holds the office of Nagar Pramukh. (5) The provisions of section 47 shall, as far as may be, be applied to the election of [the [***]8 Upa Nagar Pramukh.]4
