Section 298. Power to remove accidental obstructions

298- When a private house, wall or other erection or any thing fixed thereto or a tree shall fall down and obstruct a public drain or encumber a street the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari may remove such obstruction or encumbrance at the expense of the owner of the same and may recover such expense in the manner provided by Chapter XXI, or may, by notice, require the owner to remove the same within a time to be specified in the notice.
