Section 301. Execution of works in or near to streets

301- Whenever there is any work in execution in or near to any street on behalf of the [Corporation]1 the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari shall take such step in regard to safety and convenience as he may be required to take under the rules. Whilst any such work as aforesaid or any work which may lawfully be executed in a street is in progress the Mukhya Nagar Adhikari may in the manner laid down in rules close the street wholly or partly for traffic or for traffic of any such description as he may deem fit.
