THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

*32- (1) The State Government shall by order -- (a) devide a [[municipal corporation]8 area]5 into wards in such manner that the population in each ward shall, so for as practicable, be the dame throughout the [[municipal corporation]8 area; (b) determine the number of wards into which a [[municipal corporation]8 area]5 shall be devided; (c) determine the extent of each ward; (d) determine the number of seats to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Backward Classes or the women.]4 (2) The draft of the Order under sub-section (1) shall be published in the official Gazette for objections for a period of less than [seven days]6. (3) The State Government shall consider any objections filed under sub-section (2) and the draft Order shall, if necessary, be amended, altered or modified accordingly and thereupon it shall become final.
