THE UTTAR PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1959

33- (1) The State Government may by a subsequent Order, alter or amend any final Order under sub-section (3) of section 32. [(1-A) For the alteration or amendment of any order under sub-section (1), the provisions of sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 32 shall mutatis mutandis apply.]7 (2) Upon alteration or amendment of any final Order tinder this section the State Government shall apportion the existing Sabhasads to the altered or amended wards so as to provide so far as is reasonably practicable tor their continuing to represent as large a number as possible of their former constituents. (3) An existing Sabhasad shall hold his office in the ward to which he is assigned for the same period that he would have' held it had the wards, remained unaltered and unamended.
