Section 16. Acquisition of land.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation Act, 2017 (West Bengal Act XXX of 2017), s.33(1); it may still apply to matters that began before then.
16. The Corporation may take steps for acquisition of any land for discharging any of its functions under this Act in the manner provided in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and such acquisition shall be deemed to be acquisition for a public purpose within the meaning of the said Act.
