Section 10. Prohibition of local practice.

This Act was repealed on a date we do not have by the Assam Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1959 (Assam Act No. XIX of 1959), as listed in the Assam Legislative Department's list of repealed Acts; it may still apply to matters that began before then.
10. Notwithstanding any local practice prevalent in any part of the State, it shall not be lawful in any trade or business to use any weight or weighing instrument which has not been verified and stamped in the manner prescribed.
