Section 35-B. Penalties for breach of rules made under section 35 in respect of scheduled timber.

2[35-B. Whoever infringes any rules, in relation to any scheduled timber, made under section 35 [not being a rule made under clause (a) of that section] shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3[five years] and with fine which may extend to 3[twenty thousand rupees]: Provided that, - (a) for a first offence, the term of such imprisonment shall not be less than 3[two years] and such fine shall not be less than 3[seven thousand rupees]; (b) for a second offence or subsequent offence, the term of such imprisonment shall not be less than 3[three years] and such fine shall not be less than 3[fifteen thousand rupees;]
